Adult Children Supporting Aging Loved Ones is a free educational session for adults caring for aging parents. It takes place at the Community Recreation Center, 6842 Wadsworth Blvd. Attendees will learn how to evaluate senior housing options, including independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing. The program breaks down when each level of care may be needed and what to look for in services and facilities. It also covers typical costs and common fee structures so families can plan realistically. Legal considerations and how to work with (and vet) placement agencies are included. You’ll leave with practical resources and strategies to reduce stress, support your loved one, and prevent caregiver fatigue. Advance registration is appreciated.
