The Spirit of Colorado: A Sesqiocentennial Celebration

The Spirit of Colorado is a sesquicentennial celebration honoring Colorado’s 150th birthday at Talnua Distillery (5405 W 56th Ave Unit C). It takes place September 26, 2026, with an all-ages portion from 1–6 p.m. and a 21+ evening portion from 6–9 p.m. The event spotlights Colorado’s spirit of curiosity, independence, craftsmanship, and adventure—paired with a distillery setting. A major highlight is the Spirit of Colorado Special Release: a cask-strength single barrel whiskey finished in a barrel that previously held Blanton’s Gold Edition. Guests can also participate in a silent auction. Proceeds from the special release bottles and the auction benefit Open Lands Colorado, a nonprofit land trust protecting the state’s landscapes, farms, ranches, and water resources. It’s designed for both families earlier in the day and adults in the evening, blending celebration with meaningful conservation impact.
