Drawing + Painting: Teens (Arvada)

Drawing + Painting: Teens is a 12-session art course for teens who love drawing and/or painting and want to develop skills while creating original work from their own ideas. It takes place at artSPARK Creative Studio (6644 Wadsworth Blvd) in Arvada. The class is choice-based, guiding students through the full artistic process—exploring, planning, refining, and reflecting—rather than producing “cookie-cutter” projects. Teens can work at their own pace, whether they prefer experimentation and practice pieces or detailed, highly finished artwork. Instruction includes technique and concept building, with lots of small-group and 1:1 support. Students aren’t forced to use every technique immediately; observation and personal readiness are respected. Each teen will have the option to select either a matted frame for a finished piece or a canvas. Families are invited to the last 15 minutes of the final class for an Artist’s Celebration showcasing the work. Enrollment is encouraged early, and classes with fewer than 5 participants may be canceled 24 hours before the start.
