Fireside Ink Fireside Chat: The State of Publishing in 2026

Fireside Ink’s “Fireside Chat: The State of Publishing in 2026” is a panel discussion on today’s many routes to getting a book published. It takes place Monday, November 9 at 6:30pm at Boulder Book Store (second floor) in Boulder. Publishing professionals will compare self-publishing, small/independent presses, and Big Five publishing, plus how to choose the best path for your work. Expect practical guidance on what each route requires and what to anticipate along the way. The panel includes perspectives from self-publishing, independent presses, and a local literary agency. Fireside Ink Writers Workshop co-founder Loie Rawding moderates. The evening wraps with an audience Q&A. Tickets are $5 (plus a small processing fee) via Eventbrite and include a coupon for a same-day store purchase. Accessibility note: the event is on the second floor; contact [email protected] to request accommodations.
