2026 Boulder Builds Peace Keynote & Panel: Peace is Possible - 9/17

CU Boulder’s Peace, Conflict, and Security Program and the Boulder Rotary Club present the third annual Boulder Builds Peace lecture, “Peace Is Possible,” on Thursday, September 17. The event takes place at CASE Auditorium (4th Floor) on the CU Boulder campus, 1725 Euclid Ave, Boulder. It’s designed for students, scholars, and community members interested in turning peacebuilding from an idea into practical action. The evening opens at 4:30 PM, with the keynote running 5:00–6:00 PM. Keynote speaker Tonni Ann Brodber, Head of the Secretariat of the UN Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund, will address peacebuilding at the global level, followed by audience Q&A. After a 6:00–6:30 PM intermission with food and beverages available, a panel runs 6:30–7:45 PM. CU Boulder and partner experts will discuss reconstruction, mental health infrastructure, and citizen engagement as pathways to peace. Moderation is led by Dr. Michael English for the keynote and Jim Halderman bringing the Rotary perspective for the panel. Paid parking is available nearby at the Euclid Parking Garage.
