Larimer Chorale's Carmina Burana

Larimer Chorale opens its 50th season with Carl Orff’s iconic choral-orchestral work, *Carmina Burana*. The concert takes place at Griffin Concert Hall. Expect a high-energy program that moves from rhythmic and pulsating to gentle and humorous—often described as a musical “roulette wheel of life.” The piece draws on medieval secular poetry, with texts spanning Latin, Middle High German, and old Provençal French. Themes range widely, including love, drinking, gambling, and everyday life. Larimer Chorale will be joined by the Centennial Children’s Chorus, plus professional soloists and an orchestra. It’s designed for classical music lovers and anyone wanting a big, dramatic live performance experience. As a milestone season opener, it’s positioned as a can’t-miss event.
