From data to dollars, cells to climate, DNA to diet, and more, we will investigate the evidence, arguments, and impacts of scientific findings, old and new, topical and just plain interesting!
Rather than solely a lecture, engage in dialogue with panelists and educators and connect with other community members.
Whether you’re big on science or aren’t so familiar, bring your curiosity, investigate and explore as you dive into the processes of inquiry to truly follow today’s science!

Overview
Dance Me is an exclusive creation inspired by the rich and profound work of Montreal-based poet, artist and songwriter, Leonard Cohen.
Approved by Cohen during his lifetime, this riveting homage to the famed artist evokes the grand cycles of existence in five seasons, as described in Cohen’s deeply reflective music and poems.
Three internationally renowned choreographers were entrusted with putting movement to Cohen’s legendary songs: Andonis Foniadakis, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa and Ihsan Rustem. Their powerful and profound choreographic world reflective of Cohen’s singular work is brought to life by 14 BJM performing artists.
Surrounded by a team of celebrated designers, Dance Me combines scenic, visual, musical, dramaturgical, and choreographic writing to pay tribute to Montreal’s greatest ambassador. Dance, music, lighting, scenography, and videography all come together in this unforgettable show.

Elise Wunder is a Colorado born songstress blessed with a truly rare voice that distills emotion into song. She has spent years investing, studying, and crafting this instrument. It's a cannon and a paintbrush; a voice of oak and leather with a tone that’s at once comforting, dynamic, and built on a solid stone foundation with a range that listeners don’t forget.
Her songwriting and style are rich and heavy in a way that does not suggest world weariness, so much as it does wisdom and an old soul. Elise is a world traveler who is inspired by experience and culture. She has traveled to Haiti, Bahamas, Peru, Egypt, Jordan, Israel, etc., and also lived in New Orleans for two years. She steeps all of these ventures into her music. Currently based in Fort Collins, CO, with an entirely new appreciation of home and her community, Elise uses her rich experiences to take listeners on a journey. Through the passionate embrace of love and the hollow ache of solitude, she makes the bitter drink sweet by finding magic in the small moments of day to day living.

Join us every Last Wednesday for live music with our Winter Resident Musician, Brigitte Benson. Residency concerts are meant to encourage collaboration, experimentation, and support our local blooming music scene. Music starts at 6pm, suggested donation is $15-20.
Brigitte Benson is a singer/songwriter and jazz musician whose sound lives at the crossroads of folk, funk, and heartfelt storytelling. Based along Colorado’s Front Range, she has spent years playing shows up and down the region, while slowly building a community—one song and one listener at a time.
Brigitte’s music is rooted in honesty. Her lyrics lean into vulnerability, connection, and the small truths that make people feel seen. With a background in jazz and a love for raw, acoustic textures, her songs blend warm and captivating melodies with thoughtful, reflective writing.
In 2026, Brigitte is hopeful to release her first recorded music, a milestone she hopes will reach the people who resonate with sincerity, soul, and the genuine human experience. Her greatest dream is to create music that invites others in, encourages connection, and builds a space where listeners can settle into the world she's creating.

Overview
Your ticket price includes:
A spot at one of five tables, each party will be comprised of 6 players and run by an experienced DM.
A choice of one pre-designed character sheet. Players will choose their characters with their party upon arrival.
One drink ticket, to be used for a themed cocktail curated by our expert mixologists (mocktail version available), beer, or wine. Additional beverages, happy hour, and dinner menu will be available all night.
One ticket per person attending. If you would like to play at the same table as another guest, please notate that in the space provided when purchasing your ticket. Previous D&D experience is recommended, but not required. This will be a Level 4 campaign. All characters are pre-made, changes to the character sheets provided may be approved at the discretion of your DM. Please bring your own dice and character mini, if you have them. We will have a limited number of minis and dice available to borrow.

An Evening of Viola and Piano

The concert includes music by Caroline Shaw, Ellen Taafe Zwilich, Radiohead, Bohuslav Martinu, and Nikolai Roslavets performed by Tze Ying Wu, viola, and Jacob Coleman, piano.
Dr. Tze-Ying Wu is associate professor of viola and string education at the University of Kentucky, where she directs the UK String Project. An active chamber musician, Dr. Wu performs with the Formosa Trio (viola, harp, flute), appearing at major venues and festivals in Asia and the U.S., including the 13th World Harp Congress in Hong Kong, the National Taichung Theater, and the National Concert Hall in Taipei. The trio’s 2024 tour featured performances across the Midwest and premieres of new works by Zhou Tian, and Yuchun Hu. Their debut album, First Impression, was released in 2018.
Recognized for her dedication to teaching, Dr. Wu received the 2024 Outstanding Educator Award from the Kentucky Chapter of the American String Teachers Association. Her students have earned professional positions with orchestras such as the Lexington Philharmonic, Jacksonville Symphony, Virginia Symphony, and the National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica. Dr. Wu earned her Doctor and Master of Music degrees in viola performance from Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music, where she studied with Atar Arad, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from National Taiwan Normal University. She has served on the summer faculties of the Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts and the Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute and is currently the board president of the National String Project Consortium.
A native of Athens, Georgia, pianist Jacob Coleman is associate professor of piano and collaborative piano at the University of Kentucky School of Music. As a collaborator, Dr. Coleman has performed with artists such as Franklin Cohen, David Kim, Jeff Nelsen, Leone Busye, Amy Porter as well as the Zohn Collective and Kenari Quartet. He has served as an official pianist for the Mid-South Flute Fest, National Trumpet Competition, ProjetoBone Brasil (2019), and Muestra Internacional de Clarinete de Panamá (2019). Coleman has also frequently appeared at the North American Saxophone Alliance and International Double Reed Society conferences.
Prior to coming to Kentucky, Dr. Coleman taught at the University of Southern Mississippi, where he directed the Collaborative Piano Program and created a new doctoral degree. From 2014-2016, he served as visiting assistant professor of collaborative piano at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music. For six summers, he was a member of the piano staff at the Meadowmount School of Music founded by Ivan Galamian. Dr. Coleman holds degrees from The University of Texas at Austin (D.M.A., Collaborative Piano), University of Oregon (M.M., Collaborative Piano), and University of Georgia (B.M., Piano Performance). His primary teachers were Richard Zimdars, David Riley, and Anne Epperson.

Old Firehouse Books is delighted to be welcoming Skye Griffith to celebrate her book, Bone Hash! Skye will be in store on March 26th from 6:00-7:00PM, joined by Kathleen Donnelly to chat about the book as well as sign copies of books! If you'd like to grab a copy beforehand you can place an order online or in store, or snag one in person at the event. Unfortunately we don't ship internationally. We hope to see you there!
About Bone Hash:
Ancient Bones. A modern murder. A deadly secret buried deep in the desert.
In the vast untamed desert of northern Arizona, Aideen Connor signs on as lead archaeologist hoping to find peace after witnessing her husband's violent death. Instead, she stumbles into a mystery as ancient and dangerous as the land itself. Aideen's team uncovers a "bone hash," human bones showing evidence of prehistoric cannibalism. Then a brutal murder shocks the residents of the nearby Hopi Reservation. Unsettling connections emerge between the murder and her dig, and Aideen's world begins to unravel.
Aideen's boss blames her when the bone hash is stolen. Violent threats begin: A sheep is viciously killed under her residential trailer, a photo of her dead husband left in its blood. A hulky stranger chases her across remote backcountry and attacks her. All threats point to a grim reality: someone wants her gone. Aideen must navigate a maze of buried truths with only her dog, Dakota for companionship. Every clue leads her closer to the secrets buried at her dig that could cost her more than her career--they could cost her life.
About Skye Griffith:
Skye Griffith has hiked windswept canyons in the American Southwest, visited dozens of archaeological sites in New Mexico, Utah, Colorado and Arizona and attended Native American dances and celebrations that gave her a deep respect for these First Americans and their ancient cultures. Previously an award-winning event designer and producer, Skye designed and produced over 10,000 special events, including Denver’s first world championship, the Stanley Cup Celebration, the papal arrival ceremony in Denver with President Clinton and the First Family, plus concerts and performances in venues of all sizes. Skye debuts her talent for storytelling with Bone Hash, a gripping mystery inspired by her explorations. Her articles have appeared in the National Endowment for the Arts newsletter, IE, International Events Magazine and other industry publications. She holds degrees from the Universities of Cincinnati and Denver and is a member of the Denver Woman’s Press Club, Mystery Writers of America, and Sisters in Crime. Skye lives in Denver with her husband and Tucker, their 120 lb. Malamute.
About Kathleen Donnelly:
Award-winning author Kathleen Donnelly is a retired K-9 handler and writes the National Forest
K-9 series and Colorado K-9 series. She lives near the Colorado foothills with her husband and
four-legged friends. Her books have won several awards including the Pencraft 2024 Book of the
Year, the Best Book award from the American Book Fest and have also been finalists for the
Silver Falchions, Colorado Authors League Award and the CIBA Mystery and Mayhem Award.

Vienna Teng is an incredible singer-songwriter and pianist known for blending folk, pop, and classical styles with intellectual clarity and emotional depth. Her latest EP, We’ve Got You, explores the intersecting worlds of climate work, parenthood, and community building. Beyond the music, Vienna also hosts climate action workshops which have been described by past participants as "the perfect antidote to despair." This performance will truly be a unique experience for the Fort Collins community!

Overview
Come joins us for our Swing into Spring Dance 2nd and 4th Friday Dance featuring Espresso Swing and Gypsy Jazz Band. We are so excited to have them back and there is no doubt that we will have a swinging good time!
Price of admission for our Live Band Nights is $15 and $10 for students. This includes an introduction to swing or intermediate level swing dance lesson starting at 6:00 and dancing until 10:00.
Doors open at 6:00 and our lessons will begin shortly after the doors open.
No partner is ever needed and no experience is required.
Please remember that NoCo Swing Dance is a non-profit organization and all of the funds that we take in go directly towards our events.
We are a very beginner friendly dance community and absolutely love new dancers.

Overview
Bad Suns are embracing everything that’s possible. On their joyous fifth album, fittingly titled Accelerator, the Los Angeles trio are taking stock of everything they’ve been through together as a band and pushing into a bright future with a renewed sense of purpose. Together since 2012, Christo Bowman (vocals/guitar), Gavin Bennett (bass) and Miles Morris (drums) started playing together as teenagers and went viral almost immediately with their magnetic blend of indie-rock and ‘80s synth sheen. After four hit albums, the trio reached a point where they needed to recalibrate and recenter if they wanted to continue. Recording their exuberant 2023 EP Infinite Joy was a cleansing experience that recalibrated Bad Suns and set them on a thrilling path forward into making Accelerator, which comprises 12 new tracks brimming with dance-pop hooks and poignant lessons learned.
“We saw the Infinite Joy EP as a new beginning for the band. I felt this yearning once again,” reflects Christo Bowman. “Accelerator being our fifth album, our first studio album as a trio, and the first album of my 30s, we knew that this was going to be really important. We didn't want to take that lightly. We asked ourselves, how do we live up to the occasion? We saw this album as a mountain we wanted to climb.”
In planning their elevation, Bad Suns reconnected with their go-to producer Eric Palmquist (Tate McRae, Half Alive), who also helmed their 2014 debut Language & Perspective, plus follow-ups Disappear Here (2016) and Apocalypse Whenever (2022). Going into recording Accelerator, Eric encouraged Bad Suns to channel their sense of renewal into an energetic sonic direction they’d tapped into before, but never quite to this extent. “One of the first times we sat down with Eric, we were talking about what we'd all been vibing with. He said point blank, ‘It would be really cool to mess around with some ‘90s house-inspired music. Right away, the light bulb went off for me. I'd wanted to push in that direction forever.”
While tracks like the previously released “Communicating,” anthemic opener “Slow Karma,” the pulsing “Why Am I Like This,” and the shimmering club cut “Just Like Magic” reveal a riveting pop turn for the band, Accelerator is still steeped in the original DNA that made Bad Suns a feel-good viral sensation with early hits like “Cardiac Arrest.” The rushing pop melodies mirror Accelerator’s title, but its lyrics are filled with stop-and-think moments where Christo surveys his past actions and makes the intentional choice to embrace personal growth and impending fatherhood.
“My 20s were a challenging time with a lot of peaks and a lot of valleys,” he says. “There's a lot of joy, a lot of mistakes. This album is ultimately about finding the strength within yourself to assess the damage that's been done and make the changes that you need to in order to take control of your own life, kind of reckoning with the fact that you can't control the external circumstances. I can't control the world around me, but I can control the way that I react to the events taking place and the way that I move through the world.”
The hook-packed gem “Slow Karma” acts as Christo’s mission statement for Accelerator. An intimate and cathartic track, the album opener finds Christo at a personal and professional crossroads as he confronts old habits and makes the decision to become sober. “I was at a point in my life where it was becoming abundantly clear to me that I needed to make some changes in order to progress and live the life that I really wanted,” Christo says. “Getting sober is really hard, but then it becomes the easiest thing in the world. ‘Slow Karma’ is about accepting that this is gonna be difficult. And I don't know exactly what's ahead, but I know this is the direction I'm supposed to be moving down.”
The sparkling “Mystery Girl” signifies another crossroads as Christo, in a diaristic stream of consciousness, remembers his coming-of-age years while facing the inertia of fatherhood. “There's this beautiful new chapter in my life unfolding, and there's mixed emotions that come with it,” he says. “This is a song about my teenage years, past relationships and experiences, and being a young person who is ultimately just looking for love.”
Christo is equally unafraid to imagine what would have happened had he not made a series of positive changes. On the urgent, electropop banger “Back To Zero,” the singer envisions an alternate reality without Bad Suns or his wife and partner of 13 years and arrives at a place of heart-bursting gratitude for everything he has and the future that lies ahead.
“I didn't want this record to be too self-help-oriented, but I did want every song, one way or another, to relate some wisdom I’ve gained,” Christo says. “By imagining myself alone in an apartment, my wife long gone — my life very easily could have looked like that. I’ve learned how important it is, as the lyrics say, to ‘find the beauty in what's painful,’ and love every moment for what it is.”
As Bad Suns move into their latest era, one filled with exciting personal and professional milestones, they’ve never been more harmoniously aligned. “While making this album, I turned 30, I got married, I found out I was having a kid. Going to the studio every day and being in the room with the guys, I had this sense that I'm going to look back and know that was probably one of the best times of my life.”

Get ready. Get set. Get colorful! The fourth annual International 5K Color Run is set for Saturday, March 28, 2026.
The annual fun run/walk is held in partnership with CSU’s Indian Students Association to coincide with the annual Hindu celebration of Holi, which honors Colors, Love, and Spring!
All proceeds from the event will benefit the international enrollment scholarship funds to help students achieve their goal of studying at Colorado State University.
Participants will receive a race T-shirt, race-friendly snacks and beverages, and color to join in on the festivities. Get ready to get colorful for a good cause!

Tolkien’s creative world is founded on music, and not only are the characters moved and shaped by music, it has provided inspiration for many musicians to engage creatively with the world through their own work. From classical compositions to heavy metal thunder, from parody songs to some of the greatest film scores of all time, Middle-earth has set the scene for many adaptive works. This talk will explore the role of music in the stories, a timeline of adaptations and music inspired by Tolkien, and a little of my own work in this area.

Overview
BIG DEAL Company's NoCo Easter Keg Hunt is an annual event that keeps adults young! A wild and crazy scavenger hunt takes place in downtown Loveland and Old Town, Fort Collins Colorado. It is the perfect marriage between a road rally, the Beast Games, and a bar crawl!
Costumes, team color coordination, and 'Rabbit-Wear' is encouraged!
A kick-off takes place at a local watering hole. Teams of up to 9 are gathered. Each team receives a bag filled with 'tools' for their hunt! Once we say the word "GO," all teams open their first Easter Egg and privately read their first clue. Each clue will lead teams to businesses around town where they will hunt for their eggs and solve clue after clue.
The Easter Keg Hunt is by foot, and sure to be your favorite new way to celebrate Easter! The cost to participate is just $45 per person. The winning team receives a large keg trophy, and every team receives drinks and goodies along the way! The Hunt takes about 2-4 hours. Feel free to stick around at the end for food & drink and 'Keg Hunt' stories!

Overview
Join Andrea Sweeting for this dedicated gathering to land back in our bodies and weave connection through our community. Together we will work with a sacred plant oil blend to reconnect body and soul through the spiritual bridge of fragrance.
Fragrance has been honored throughout history and across cultures as a way to attune the mind and body to frequencies of healing, receptivity, sensuality, and divine guidance. In this circle, we will awaken the sensual body alongside the spring wildflowers—reaching toward the light, softening into pleasure, and gently exploring the more tender and taboo parts of ourselves.
We will discuss the plants in our oil blend, their spiritual histories and gifts, followed by a guided meditation and anointing practice with the oil. The gathering will close with reflective journaling and an optional group share, creating space to root intentions, embody desire, and dream new seeds into being.
Andrea Sweeting is an intuitive guide and community healing facilitator who uses a combination of tarot, astrology, intuitive mediumship and mythology to help you gain insight into a deep wisdom that lives within. These various oracular traditions help us build a living relationship with our patterned cosmos. Her work helps bring soul and body back into conversation by strengthening our connection with the more than human world, and healing this disconnect within ourselves and our communities.

Overview
Families, kids, and all community members join herbalists, Jaclyn and Samantha, for this hands-on workshop to learn natural egg-dying techniques using herbs, spices, and other plants. Through a demonstration, participants will learn how to create natural dyes and will dye their own eggs with a variety of natural dye colors and combinations. Please bring half a dozen boiled eggs for dying. We’ll also discuss plant medicine and share seasonal traditions for the spring equinox.

This class offers a perfect opportunity to rest and reset for the week. Participants will be guided on a relaxing sonic journey featuring an array of handmade bowls and other sound healing tools. This session includes professional instruction in meditation and breathing techniques accompanied by gentle music and aromatherapy. There is no experience necessary and all are welcome. Please bring your favorite cushion, blanket, or whatever else is needed for your comfort.

St. Peter's Fly Shop, On Water Entomology Class, Sunday March 29th, 10am-12:30pm, $75
Have you taken our Angler's Entomology class and want to bring your knowledge to the next level? Or maybe you like bugs, but not classrooms? Experience on water knowledge of our local river and the bugs that inhabit it. Understanding the bugs of your favorite trout stream as well as the timing of hatches will dramatically increase your success and enjoyment on the water. We will guide you through river-side sampling, observation and fly selection to bring your basic entomology knowledge to life. This class is limited to a maximum of 8 students. All sampling equipment and note-taking packets are included. Bring your waders and lets jump in!

"The Gadfly: True Stories and Stand-Up Philosophy” is for thoughtful people who love to laugh, especially as we grapple with the complex conditions of our existence.
When: Every Last Sunday of the Month 5:30-7:00pm (Happy Hour starts at 5:00)
Where: The Speak Cheesy Lounge at Slyce Pizza Co. (downstairs; entrance at 120 S. Mason St.)
What: These events are unique and engaging! Far from a tight five, the main goal isn’t punchlines to get big laughs. The point is to make telling the truth a good time.
While not exactly a philosophy talk or improv, expect room for questions, discussion, and crowd work.

Overview
Every Sunday at 7 pm in the Lyric lobby, Geeks Who Drink is a great way to drink with friends without burning brain cells. And it’s where useless knowledge means everything.
Our quizzes cover everything from Hungary to The Hunger Games, from science to sports, from the Billboard Hot 100 to Better Call Saul. Each quiz consists of seven rounds of eight questions each, in a variety of formats, including audio and visual rounds.
Teams can be up to six players, so bring your smartest friends (or some likable dummies). Or come solo: We can always help you join a team!
Winning teams get a gift certificate to The Lyric. But mostly it’s about establishing your dominance - or at least pleasantly surprising yourself. You’re into that, right?
