About This Event

We’ve never been great at asking for help. Usually, we’re the ones donating beer, hosting fundraisers, supporting local events, showing up for the community, and saying “yes” whenever we can. Today, we’re asking for something different. Our/your friend and longtime Odyssey team member, Dan, is in the middle of the fight of his life. Dan has been part of Odyssey for more than 11 years. If you’ve spent time here, chances are you’ve crossed paths with him, shared a beer, talked SoCal punk, debated whether Descendants or Alkaline Trio had the better catalog, swapped cooking ideas, laughed at something dumb, or benefited from the work he’s done behind the scenes. After weeks in the hospital and multiple surgeries, Dan and his family are facing a long road ahead — and some overwhelming expenses. So, we’re doing what we know how to do. On Saturday, June 20, we’re turning Odyssey into Dan-a-Palooza — a full day of live music, cold beer, food, local vendors, fundraising, and community. Our goal: Raise $30,000+ for Dan and his family. Because sometimes the people who quietly show up for everyone else need everyone else to show up for them. Dan has spent 11 years showing up for Odyssey. On June 20th, we’re showing up for him.
