Join us the first Wednesday of every month for a music series to celebrate two, once in a lifetime milestones; the 250th anniversary of American independence and the 150th anniversary of Colorado’s statehood. This series brings together powerful music that reflects our shared heritage, evolving identity, and promising artistic future as a state and as a nation.Celebrate 250 years of America and 150 years of Colorado with a monthly music series showcasing the sounds and stories that shaped us as a state and as a nation.For the month of January and in partnership with Lighthouse Writers Workshop, the series honors the power of the spoken and written word. Acclaimed Denver poets Suzi Q. Smith, Aerik Francis, and Hakeem Furious take the stage to share selected works that illuminate the American experience alongside their own original poetry. Their words are brought into vivid new dimension by the Max Moore Quintet, whose live accompaniment weaves jazz inspired textures around each poem, creating an unforgettable fusion of rhythm, reflection, and artistry.
