“The Garden of Grief and Gladness,” a 10-room, 8,000-square-foot walkthrough installation created by Denver-based artist Kat Short, opens to the public on May 22, 2026 in the River North Arts District at 3401 Blake Street. The experience transforms an unconventional office space into a series of deeply personal environments, or “portals” as Short calls them, that guide visitors through the emotional terrain of loss.
