About This Event
Experience "Waves: Listening to the Cosmos," a unique public concert by composer Benjamin Skepper at Colorado State University on Sept. 8. This groundbreaking event translates actual gravitational wave data into a live musical journey, marking the 10th anniversary of humanity's first gravitational wave detection. The free concert, taking place at 7:30 p.m. in the Griffin Concert Hall at the University Center for the Arts, promises an immersive and multi-dimensional sound experience that merges science and art. Sponsored by the School of Music, Theatre and Dance, along with the departments of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Physics, this event is part of a global scientific conference on the LIGO-VIRGO-KAGRA (LVK) Gravitational Wave Detectors.
