About This Event
Our Summer Music Evenings, will be held weekly from May 27th- October 2nd, every Wednesday and some Friday evenings, from 4:30 - 8:30pm, music is from 5:30-7:45. These evenings, will feature an amazing local band and food truck, while all animals and regular Farmfest activities will be open, for an unforgettable night out on the farm! On Wednesday June 17, The Litch Brothers will be playing the Sunflower Farm stage! The Litch Brothers are a progressive bluegrass ensemble from the Pacific Northwest, founded by brothers Tashi and Kaj Litch. Their journey took a pivotal turn when Brandi Carlile discovered them busking at Pike Place Market in Seattle, and invited them to perform at her sold-out show at Benaroya Hall alongside Mike McCready of Pearl Jam and the Seattle Symphony. Since that breakthrough moment, the band has quickly made a name for themselves in the Pacific Northwest and more recently in their new home in Nashville, earning a dedicated following with their innovative sound and vibrant energy. As their reputation has grown, they’ve been invited to perform at numerous festivals, including IBMA Bluegrass Live!, Ogden Music Festival, and Salmonfest Alaska. Most recently, they were honored to be selected as showcasing artists at Your Roots Are Showing 2025, Ireland’s premier folk music conference. Featuring Tashi Litch on mandolin, Kaj Litch on guitar, Evan Snoey on fiddle, and Ben Lewis on bass, the group blends original compositions with bluegrass standards and folk-inspired covers. Drawing influence from artists such as Punch Brothers, Watchhouse, and The Avett Brothers, each member brings a distinct musical voice, resulting in a sound that is bold and forward-thinking while remaining firmly rooted in traditional bluegrass. Beyond their musical skill and innovation, what truly sets a Litch Brothers show apart is the band’s energy. Their genuine passion and joy for the music are unmistakable, creating a live experience that is both exhilarating and welcoming. Even for those new to bluegrass, the Litch Brothers have a way of turning first-time listeners into fans. Scrooge Maki will be here to purchase dinner and Palo Coffee & Bar will be on site, serving up non-alcoholic beverages and snow-cones. Bring your chairs, blankets and family for a summer eve listening to your favorite local bands at Sunflower!
